How do I Communicate?
When you upgrade to full membership the communicate button
will allow you to communicate with other members by mail
or the
'whispers'
instant messaging system. As a trial member you can send
3 free emails to initiate contact with other members and
introduce yourself. If you
wish to read or respond to mail received from other members,
you will need to upgrade your membership and pay online.
What are Whispers?
The www.udate.com unique whispers feature enables you to
have a two-way conversation (chat) quickly & efficiently.
This service is only available to gold members.
While browsing a member's profile you will see
a 'Communicate' button on the screen. To send an item of
mail to this member simply click this button. Enter a title
for your mail item and type your message in the large box
below. When you have finished typing, click the 'Send Mail'
button to send it. If you visit your Mail page you should
see the item you have just sent along with any other mail
items you may have sent or received.
What is "Sorry
only for my friends"?
The 'Sorry only for my friends' feature enables you to
only show your photograph to members in your friends list.
You can enable this feature from your Controls Page which
you
can also navigate to by clicking on 'My udate' from
the main menu, then clicking on 'My Controls'. At the bottom
of this page is a section titled 'Photo Controls'. Simply
put a tick in the relevant box and click the 'submit controls'
button to confirm.
How do I create a profile?
The first step is to click on the 'My udate' button on
the main menu. Work your way through all the features under
the headline My Profile, in each section answering as many
questions as possible.
After completing the above click on the Match button, here
you can see all the udate members that match your criteria/controls.
From here you can browse through each person's profile
by clicking on their name, picture or the 'profile' button.
You can also browse members that are currently online by
clicking the 'who's on' button. This is a great way to
find members and chat using our exclusive one to one whisper
feature.
Udate.com Match Feature
The Match Feature provides you with a list of members
that match your 'Criteria', 'Controls' and 'Regions' settings.
On the left hand side of the match page is a summary of
your settings - you may wish to relax or restrict these
settings depending on the numbers of matches you find.
On the right hand side is a list of matching members with
a short description and photograph (if applicable) of each
and clickable buttons to view their profiles, send them
mail or add them to your friends list. A fourth button
lets you whisper to them if they are online now or tells
you when they were last online if they are not here right
now.
Two Way Match Feature
The Two Way Match Feature allows you to see members where
you both match each other's criteria - you could say
a perfect match!
Online Match Feature
The Online Match Feature gives you a list of matching members
who are online right now - an excellent way to get chatting
to matching people straight away!
New User Match Feature
The New User Match Feature shows you the newest matching
members on the site. Why not break the ice and maybe be
the first to send them some mail?
Improving Matches - How do I specify Criteria?
The match facilities are the most comprehensive available
anywhere on the internet. At www.udate.com you can be much
more specific about the person you would like to meet.
Your Criteria will be used by udate Match technology to
identify other members who are of interest to you. Using
your Controls Feature you can specify the age and sexuality
of
the members that you can see, and likewise
who can see you. You may also set Match, Mailbox and Photo
controls from this page.
How do I Send Mail?
When you are browsing a member's profile you will see

What is the Block Feature?
The blocking feature is your safety warrant and every
member has the right to use this. A block should only be
placed if a member is causing you concern or discomfort.
Placing a block will remove this members information, profile,
and communication methods from your profile and your information,
profile, and communication will be removed from theirs.
Placing a block is a serious action and should not be taken
lightly.
Blocks cannot be reversed.
What is the Friends feature?
In this feature you can add people to your friends list.
By adding a member to your friends list you will be able
to notice their presence more readily via the online control
panel which appears at the top of your pages when a friend
is online. The Friends page also allows you to make notes
on those members added to your list.
